WHO WE ARE The Squamish Rafting Company is a family-owned local business operating year-round with exciting whitewater rafting trips in the Spring & Summer months and extraordinary Wilderness & Eagle Viewing Floats in the Fall & Winter months. We are comprised of a passionate team of entrepreneurs, including some of the most experienced raft guides in the Sea to Sky Corridor. We deliver all of our products with the highest of standards in safety and are dedicated to providing our guests with an unforgettable outdoor experience. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR We hope to continue exceeding guest expectations by adding experienced Whitewater Rafting Instructors to our team for the 2019 Summer Season. Applicants must be able to lead groups and individuals while enforcing safety rules and regulations. They must also have 3-5 years experience instructing whitewater rafting and must present a river log to verify experience. For safety reasons, knowledge and experience on the Elaho-Squamish Rivers and Cheakamus River is preferred. WHAT YOU’LL NEED Due to the and extreme nature of whitewater rafting on our rivers, candidates must have the following: 3-5 years experience as a Whitewater Rafting Instructor Swiftwater Rescue Certification BC River Outfitters Association Guiding License or equivalent for whitewater rafting Be able to assess river conditions and lead tours Have a current first aid certification, minimum 16 hours Experienced and capable whitewater kayaking skills are a strong asset DETAILS Compensation: $23.00 hourly, plus 4% vacation pay Seasonal Full Time: 30 hours per week Dates: April 15 to October 31, 2019 HOW TO APPLY Please email your resume and cover letter to the attention of the General Manager at info@squamish-rafing.com
