The Rivers of British Columbia

There are hundreds of rivers in BC and river rafting thrill seekers may be familiar with many of them. Most of BC's rivers and waterways have played an important part in the settling of this wild and beautiful province.

There are remote and pristine rivers in northern BC, like the Tatshenshini River and the powerful Stikine River, the Gataga and the Taku. A trip down one of these rivers can be like a trip back in time with wildlife on the shores and no signs of human habitation.

There are many other great recreational B.C. rivers including the historic Campbell River on Vancouver Island, the impressive Columbia River, the scenic Thompson River and the mighty Fraser River, where legend meets reality.

Whatever your destination of choice for your river rafting trip, why not choose a BC River Outfitter Association member and leave the planning and the safety to the experts.

“You made us feel very important as if all our rowing was keeping us straight and avoiding the rocks, when all the time it was all YOUR hard work behind us that was going unnoticed. Thanks for your patience and friendliness (and expertise of course) and we wish you safe rafting until we meet again...WE WILL BE BACK!” Dymphna and Jim McGonigle
